Popular starting builds

One leveling build per class, checked against the talent rules. Open one and adjust it to your play style.

What this calculator does

Plans by level

Set a character level to see how many points you have. The point-order list shows the level at which each point is spent, so you can follow it while leveling.

Shows what changed

Turn on “Mark changes from Classic” to tag new and changed talents; the tooltip shows the Classic version.

Links that keep working

Share links include the game build they were made with. When talents change, old links still open and any points that no longer apply are refunded.

Works on a phone

On touch screens, tap a talent to read it and use the + and − buttons. Every talent is also listed as plain text on each class page.

Talent FAQ

How do talents work in WoW Forever?

Each class has three talent trees. You earn one talent point per level from 10 to 60 (51 in total). Each row needs 5 more points in the rows above it in the same tree, and talents with an arrow need the talent above them at max rank.

What does the Legacy perk Talented do?

Talented is an account-wide Legacy perk with five ranks. Each rank gives you a talent point one level earlier, starting at level 9 and going down to level 5. It does not raise the 51-point maximum.

Is this the same as the Classic talent calculator?

No. Forever uses its own talent trees. Across all classes, 139 talents are new compared with Classic Era and most others were changed.

How often is the calculator updated?

A pipeline checks for new WoW Forever client builds every day and rebuilds the talent data. The build number and date are shown on every calculator page.
