What Camping adds
The official Deep Dive describes Camping as an expansion of the Cooking Fire into a Basic Campfire. Nearby players can contribute crafted objects with profession-specific benefits. It gives crafting a visible role during outdoor travel as well as at a city workstation.
A Basic Campfire accepts up to three objects, with each player contributing one and objects sharing a one-hour cooldown. The first objects are learned at profession skill 20. More advanced objects can come from Blueprint recipes dropped by particular dungeon bosses. Upgraded cooking campfires can support five or ten objects, according to the announcement.
The recap also notes that campsite buffs overlap with certain class buffs and do not stack with them. Check the benefit you already have before assuming every additional object increases your stats.
A campsite preparation sequence
- Check which objects your current profession skill can make.
- Carry the required materials shown by the actual recipe.
- Pick a safe location and place or join a campsite.
- Coordinate different contributions with nearby players.
- Sit and wait for the rest/buff process indicated by the game before moving on.
September 24 notes expand the poses that can obtain a campfire buff and fix interruptions involving crafting or casting. If you read an older instruction saying every cast prevents the buff, compare it with that update.
Legacy and alternate characters
The announced Legacy system includes profession-related progression and gathering benefits. Account-wide points and character-specific allocation create reasons to think about the roles of your alts. They do not establish that every player needs multiple crafting alts or that one profession is mandatory.
Recipes and gold-making
A complete recipe and binding reference, current market prices and comparable profit tests are not available here. Check each recipe’s materials and binding rules in the client before buying supplies. For gold-making, compare ingredient costs with actual sale prices; no fixed hourly profit is established.
